The Little Miracles Curriculum
Your child's key developmental years occur between birth and age 5. This is why Little Miracles, Inc puts early intervention and early childhood education as our top priority. We've also come to understand that your children will thrive best under a structured routine that also facilitates plenty of opportunities to learn through play. Children find security and thrive best with clear, consistent boundaries and expectations.
In addition to our center-designed curriculum, we utilize the ND Early Learning Guidelines as a resource for our lesson planning and work closely with Child Care Aware of ND for quality enhancement.
Much More Than Just a Child Care Center
Little Miracles, Inc is more than just a child care center. We're also your child's educational environment. As major advocates for early intervention for developmental milestones, our team constantly promotes age-appropriate skill acquisition in all vital areas of development. These areas include:
- Gross motor skills
- Fine motor skills
- Sensory integration
- Cognition
- Language and literacy
- Social-emotional skills
Why Structure Is Vital
Structure and consistent routines are at the heart of Little Miracles, Inc's care philosophy. These tools help your children achieve their educational and developmental goals. Some of the strategies we use include:
- Lesson planning derived from the Creative Curriculum for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers
- Consistent daily routines including meals, rest, group time, gross motor play, fine motor tasks, letter and number recognition and formation, story time, music and dance, creative and imaginative play, and outside activities
- Use of the "Handwriting Without Tears" program for preschoolers; used to teach letter recognition, formation and writing
- Theme-based lessons that incorporate letters, numbers, colors, and shapes of the week for repetition and an increased rate of learning. Teachers also offer variety and differentiation based on your child's areas of interest
- Weekly Music Therapy groups for infants through school-age children
- Use of the Nurtured Heart Approach to reinforce desired behaviors and remove undesired behaviors
Whether or not your child has specialized medical or educational needs, Little Miracles, Inc is committed to providing the best care and education for your child!
